Decent X26, small hiccup

I recently bought the Engwe X26. Shipping took a week, which was fine. The bike itself is powerful and handles well on varied terrain, exactly what I wanted. I did notice one of the hydraulic brake pads seemed a little off on arrival, making a slight noise, but it sorted itself out after a few rides. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about it, suggesting to ride it a bit first. For the price, it's a good value, but they could probably improve their pre-delivery checks a bit more.

Detailed on the Engine Pro

My Engwe Engine Pro arrived well-packaged, taking about six business days from order to delivery in Manchester. The box was a bit scuffed but the bike inside was pristine. Assembly was mostly straightforward, though the instructions could have been clearer on the pedal installation. I had a quick question about the display settings, and their customer service chat responded within an hour, which was helpful. The build quality feels solid for the price point, and the suspension is surprisingly good for urban riding. The range on a single charge has been consistent with what's advertised, getting me to and from work with plenty to spare. It's a bit heavy, but that's expected with a fat-tire e-bike. Overall, a good experience for what I needed.

Good bike, easy purchase

I ordered an Engwe L20 a couple weeks back. It arrived in about 5 days, which was pretty quick. Assembly wasn't too bad, just the usual stuff. The bike rides well, feels sturdy enough for my commute. Overall, it was a straightforward process, no fuss, and I'm happy with the bike.

EP-2 Pro is fantastic!

Got my Engwe EP-2 Pro last week and I absolutely love it! The folding mechanism is so smooth, fits right in my car boot. Riding it is just pure fun. The fat tires handle everything great. I'm already telling my mates about it. Definitely shopping here again for accessories!

Consistent great service

This was my third purchase from Engwe UK, this time an Engwe M20. Like my previous orders (EP-2 Pro and an extra battery), the process was smooth. The delivery for the M20 took about a week, similar to what I've experienced before. The bike arrived in perfect condition, and the quality is as expected. I keep coming back because their bikes are reliable and the pricing is really competitive. It's good to see that they maintain their standard of service.

Can you use more than one discount code at checkout? Got a newsletter one and a referral link.

N Nick 1 month ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one code at a time. Most places are like that unfortunately.

Yeah, tried that last Black Friday, didn't work. It's usually one code per order.

Do these bikes come with a throttle or is it just pedal assist? And is it road legal in the UK?

B Ben 1 month ago
Most of them come with a throttle, but usually it's limited to 6km/h for walk assist in the UK to be road legal. Full throttle can be unlocked but then it's technically not road legal if you use it on public roads.

C Cody Bennett 1 month ago
Yeah, they are generally road legal as pedal assist up to 15.5 mph. If you enable the full throttle or derestrict it, that's on you for public roads.

Is Engwe UK the official store? Don't want to accidentally buy from a reseller or something dodgy.

P Priya 1 month ago
Yep, engwe-bikes-uk.com is the official one. That's where I bought mine from, no issues.

That's their official UK site as far as I know. Good to double check though, smart move.

Anyone compared the Engwe X26 to a Rad Power Bike? Trying to decide which one to go with for off-road stuff.

J Josh 1 month ago
I looked at both, the X26 felt a bit more robust for the price point, especially with the triple suspension. Rad Power bikes are good but sometimes a bit pricier for similar specs.

My buddy has a Rad Power, and I got the X26. Honestly, for the money, the Engwe gives you a lot more bang for your buck, especially with the dual batteries on the X26. Rad is solid too, but I preferred the Engwe's feel.

Thinking of getting the P275 Pro, does anyone know if they offer finance options like Klarna?

D David Kaur 2 months ago
Yeah, they do Klarna! I financed my P26 through them. Made it way easier to afford.

N Neil P. 2 months ago
Pretty sure I saw Klarna as an option at checkout when I bought my accessories. So yeah, should be good for the bikes too.
